Drama started early on Bump Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as Tony Kanaan wrecked his backup car almost in the exact same spot that he wrecked his primary car yesterday on Pole day.
Andretti Autosport Teammate John Andretti put his #43 Window World Machine safely in the field shortly after qualifications opened up at noon EST. Andretti Autosport now has four cars in the field of 33, with only Tony Kanaan yet to qualify.
Vitor Meira, Paul Tracy, Bruno Junqueria, Sarah Fisher, Alex Lloyd , and Mario Romancini all have qualified today but bumping has already begun with Takuma Sato being bumped out.
