Live from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

The IZOD IndyCar Series took to the famed 2.5 oval in Speedway, Indiana for their second official day of practice in preparation for the 94^th running of the Indy 500. Helio  Castroneves topped the speed chart with a lap of over 227 mph. Ganassi teammates, Dario Franchitti and Scott Dixon were P2 & P3 , as both drivers topped 226 mph. Dan Wheldon was fourth and Will Power was fifth.

Tony Kanaan was sixth, Mario Moraes seventh, and Ed Carpenter was 8^th fastest on the day.

Several drivers saw track action today, as practice time for the veterans was moved up to 2:15 due to incoming weather.

Practice resumes tomorrow from noon to six. Pole Day is next Saturday from 11-6
