Fast Friday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway faced a heavy chance of showers, but the racing gods parted the clouds and track action stayed on schedule throughout most of the early afternoon. With Pole Day on the horizon for tomorrow, many teams searched for setups that would put them safely in the field of 33. Among the surprises on Friday, Alex Tagliani topped the 226 mph, and Alex Lloyd landed in the top ten with a speed of over 225 mph, Lloyd had been at the bottom of the speed charts for most of the week.
